Some Unique Information From Our Culpeper Location:

Our Culpeper location is managed by Ashley Reynolds who started with the company as a teenager.  In her 9th year with Meadows Farms, her favorite plants are Perennials.  "They all have so many different requirements and needs.  Each one is so unique with blooms, colors, and light needs.  Perennials can be used anywhere, in any ones yard with little to no maintenance.  This makes them great for anyone to use." 

Ashley's assistant managers have also been with Meadows Farms a long time.  Barbara Burger has been with the company for 14 years and Debbie St. Clair has been with Meadows Farms for 18 years. 

Location History:

This location has been here for 20 years and is often trademarked by our “little brick house”, which sits in the middle of the property. Each year we have grown a little more, since the opening we have added greenhouses and shade structures to accommodate our every growing perennial and seasonal areas. The tree section has expanded to include large evergreens and 15’ tall deciduous trees as well. We have recently added another bulk product to our line up, now we offer, black mulch, red mulch, screened topsoil, leaf compost, and shredded hardwood mulch.

Staffs Favorite Plants:

 Ashley: Heuchara “Coral Bells”, this hardy perennial is a great choice for a yard with lots of shady spots. It is a great choice not only because you don’t have to settle for just green but also you can choose from yellows and purples to black and anywhere in between.

Nandina, also a great plant, it can go in areas of almost full sun to almost full shade. You get great winter color from this hardy evergreen. It can also produce berries, which look great in winter arrangements.

 Debbie: Bulbs, mainly gladiolus, they come in an assortment of colors, they are winter hardy to our area and they can be planted in the spring to enjoy in mid summer. They also make great cut flowers for bouquets or arrangements.

 Barbara: Contorted Filbert, this shrub has a very unique form. The twigs are spiral shaped and even in the winter when it has no leaves it is a very neat looking shrub. You can also buy this as a grafted specimen.

 Steven: Japanese Maples: They have a great shape that can be used in Zen gardens as well as modern gardens. You can find them in shades of greens and reds and they all have many different looks. Japanese Maples make a great addition to any water feature and they can even increase the value of your home/landscape.

 Location Attraction:

We offer a pumpkin patch in the fall for children of all ages. We also have a large selection of mums and pansies to brighten your fall landscape. We sell specialty gourds, mini pumpkins and “spookies”, as well as ghost and scarecrows for your yard.

 During the Christmas season we carry a large selection of Fresh Cut Christmas trees, and many colors and varieties of Poinsettias either for your home or fundraiser.
