Fall has just begun, but the fun at Meadows Farms Harper’s Ferry is in full swing. This year’s pirate ship and giant killer whale is one of our largest displays ever. With the treasure hunt, moonbounce, hay rides, and pirate’s cave, the kids (or inner child) are sure to have a good time. Stop by to check out the happenings and don’t forget to vote for next year’s theme…with all the work that went into this year, the invisible man is sounding good….

Nursery Manager Alex Personius

Returning to the Farmer's roots, the first West Virginia store was opened in 2008.  An instant success, the nursery has steadily expanded to better serve the needs of the community.  The existing building was converted from an auto restoration garage to a fully stocked garden center with products for every gardening need.

        Selected as nursery manager, Alex Personius has overseen both the construction and expansion of this location.  Travis Edens, and Cody Rodriguez have worked diligently since the first day, with Joel Maltese joining the crew in May of the first season.  These four men have used their individual skills to form a nursery that is noted as being organized and innovative.

Name: Alex Personius

Nursery experience:  Certified Professional Horticulturist, B.S. in Environmental Science, 15 years experience with design and installation of landscapes, hardscapes, decking and ponds.

Hobbies and Interests:  Gardening, Bonsai, dwarf and unusual orchids, golf, disc golf, and anything else outdoors.

Hometown: Richmond, VA...a couple of miles from the new "Great Big Greenhouse" location.
