--A landscape should beautify your surroundings and create a more enjoyable environment, whether you’re looking from your window, the road, or just spending time in it.
--There’s no replacing experience when it comes to outdoor design. Plants don’t just sit there like a chair, they change every season. Plants endure cold, heat, drought and floods. My having seen how they adapt to extreme elements, over the years, helps me to better predict what plants will do best in your conditions.
JIM ROSS’ inspiration for gardening came early in life when he lived in Japan and has continued to this day. His personal garden’s have hundreds of varieties of plants that include sunny borders to woodland plantings.
Jim has been a designer with Meadows Farms since 1985 and has helped thousands of people improve their homes. He’s done many foundation plantings, water front plantings, wildlife gardens and community parks. He also creates designer hardscapes, which can provide you with outdoor rooms and walks that are artistically integrated with your landscape.
Other areas of interest to Jim are painting, saltwater fish, and hiking. Last, but most importantly, he enjoys his life with his wife and children.
Before coming to Meadows Farms, Jim received a BS from the University of Maryland. He studied landscape design as well as turf, plant and soil sciences.
