FRENCH TARRAGON

Artemisia dracanculus sativa

Description:

Has a spicy anise flavor that turns ordinary main dishes into masterpieces. Flowers are rare. French Tarragon is spicier and works better as a choice for main dishes. Spanish Tarragon is sweeter and compliments rice or dessert dishes. Tarragon is one of the four 'fines herbes' of French cooking.

Suggestions:

Goes well with meat and vegetables. Goes well in any hearty recipe. Works well with fish, eggs, chicken, and potatoes. Used to make tarragon vinegar.
