March is the month that so many gardeners have been waiting for over the past three months. Spring will officially be here on March 19th. Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday, March 10th, which will give us extra daylight in the evening for gardening.<\/p>\n

In wrapping up February, last month was relatively kind to us. We got some rain in the middle of the month that kept moisture in our soil. We had no extreme cold or out-of-the-normal cold days or nights. We had some nice spring-like weather the last week of February, with some 70-degree days. In my neighborhood, daffodils are already in bloom. So, I would say that we need to move on into March with excitement and eagerness to get outside and start gardening.<\/p>\n

HERE ARE SOME GARDENING THOUGHTS AND TASKS FOR MARCH<\/h3>\n

I can’t stress this enough. As excited as we are to start gardening, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Please watch the weather forecast!<\/strong> We still have the possibility of some hard-freezing days and nights. Technically, it is still winter for a couple more weeks.<\/p>\n
