Welcome to Summer in Wild Wonderful West Virginia.
We have had such a mild and temperate Spring it is hard to believe that summer heat is on the horizon. Although the temps have been excellent, the lack of rainfall has been a bit of a challenge. We have diligently watered our plants and kept them beautiful here at the garden center, but remember that once you get them in the ground, they need to be watered regularly during this dry season. Your plants will thank you for the extra TLC, and your garden beds will be healthy and beautiful all summer! Our staff is committed to helping you with any questions or concerns as you get your gardens summer-ready.
We have some fantastic products available for your landscape needs! Mulches, potting soil, garden soil, leaf compost, Fox farm products, bagged gravel, landscape rocks and boulders, fertilizers, and products to keep your garden weed free are for sale.
Now is also the time to spray for powdery mildew on your vegetable garden plants and susceptible perennials. Getting ahead of the fungus and mildew common in this hot, humid climate is a lot easier on the plants (and you!) than waiting until symptoms appear. Our staff will assist you with the best methods to alleviate any issues.
Our greenhouse is full of colorful annuals, perfect for sprucing up your flower beds and pots! Summer perennials are blooming, and we have a wide selection for the sun and shade! Watch for our summer specials on our web page or in your inbox! We also have a text club that sends our weekly sales directly to your phone! No more opening emails!
This area is full of fun places to visit. From Historic Harpers Ferry and close by Charles Town, there are fun things to do on your way to and from the nursery! Taking a slow tube ride down the river or visiting Charles Town Races and Slots. Lots of wineries in the area offer tastings and beautiful countryside.
