After a quiet, winter break we are back!
What a warm “winter” we’ve had so far. Thankfully spring is here, and we are here receiving fresh shipments daily. We are filling the beds, garden center, and greenhouse with all your gardening and property beautification needs. Stop by and see us we are happy to try and assist you with all your gardening and plant questions or needs. With our management staff, you will be receiving over 50 years of nursery experience. We can field the bug, fungus, and pest problem questions with 1st hand experience. Our goal is to make you successful in all your gardening endeavors. Local Events
Winchester is home to the Shenandoah Apple Blossom festival. This will be the 96th annual festival. More than 250,000 people will attend the 6 days of events. This year “the Bloom” will be held from April 28th – May 7th, 2023. The festival has been attended by many celebrities in the past including Lucille Ball, Adam West, Martha Stewart, and Dan Aykroyd just to name a few. The 6 days of the festival have many events and entertainment to keep everyone busy. A Fireman’s parade (featuring over 170 firetrucks and squad units). The Grand Feature parade (includes floats, bands, special units, and official cars). The parade usually lasts about 3 hours. “Weekend in the park” held at Jim Barnett Park features over 250 craft and food vendors as well as live music. Handley High School is the spot to be May 5th, 2023 @ 8 PM for a free Concert and Fireworks So come on out to Winchester and celebrate spring with us here in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

May 6th –The 28th annual “of Ale and History“ Microbrew & Imported Beer Tasting Festival @ historic Belle Grove Plantation This event is a must for every regular and visitor looking to enjoy good music, views, and beer. Now in its 27th year, Belle Grove’s “Of Ale and History” Beer Fest is the longest-running craft beer festival in Virginia. More than 70 beers will be on tap for tasting and there will be great music from the Robbie Limon Band and The Reflex. Tickets will go on sale in April.
March 11th The Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners Association will host a “Gardening in the Shenandoah Valley Symposium”. NSVMGA’s Gardening in the Valley Symposium, a day of education and fun with fellow gardeners, is on March 11, 2023, at Shenandoah University. All proceeds benefit the Memorial Scholarship Fund
June 3rd – The Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners Association will again host Garden Fest featuring an extensive plant sale, gardening demonstrations, and talks, vendors, and children’s activities. Admission and parking for the festival are free and tours of Belle Grove’s Manor House will be conducted at a reduced admission fee. More details to come!
