Childhood forest walks with my father, identifying native trees, spawned my love of nature early in life. My affinity for design was inherited from my mother, the artist. Combining these early influences with my experience as a high school science teacher naturally led me to a career in landscape design.

I have a degree in Psychology from Towson University, and a secondary teaching certificate in Earth and Space Science from Loyola College of Baltimore. I completed coursework at NOVA in landscape design in 2002. While working as nursery staff at the Leesburg Meadows Farms Garden Center, I expanded my hands-on knowledge of Virginia plants. Currently, I am a member of the Northern Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association. I enjoy staying up-to-date on gardening trends by reading extensively and attending seminars annually.

I believe Meadows Farms provides an excellent value to customers. It’s my job to educate consumers about their options for achieving function and beauty from their landscape. From creating patios and walkways to garden borders and privacy screens using plants, I specialize in simplifying and clearly communicating all aspects of the design process. Customer service is of utmost importance to me. Attention to detail, and a positive attitude are hallmarks of my work. Starting with your wish list, I will help you create your ideal landscape in a practical, budget-friendly way.

I will be happy to consult with you regarding all your landscaping needs.
