Pond, Waterfalls & Streams
Meadows Farms constructs both natural and formal water features as well as fish and koi ponds from 25 gallons to more than 25,000 gallons. Most water gardens require less annual maintenance than the same area of lawn. Our designers utilize the best quality components and high-efficiency pond pumps to design and build beautiful, low-care water features.
Streams add interest to the garden pond even when there is not sufficient elevation change to allow for a waterfall. They are ideal for introducing water plants such as Japanese Iris and Sweetflag that thrive on the edges of shallow moving streams.

For customers interested in professional installation (with a minimum $1,000 contract), our landscape designers will arrange to meet you at your home. Do-it-yourselfers are encouraged to visit one of our Meadows Farms garden centers that offers design assistance.

Free Walk-In Design Service
Whether you are planting for yourself, or want Meadows Farms to do the planting for you, our designers are available mid-March through mid-June and September through October at many of our nurseries. There is no charge for this design service and no appointment is necessary. Please bring any photos and/or a sketch of the area to be landscaped. Contact your local Meadows Farms garden center for hours and designer availability.
Pond and Water Feature Inspiration from Meadows Farms
Meadows Farms’ 23-acre Landscape nursery in Chantilly, Virginia is dedicated to our installation clients. Extensive display gardens showcase patios, walkways, stone walls, ponds, and lush plantings. You are invited to drop by Monday through Friday from 8 am through 4 pm, or you can contact us directly to make an appointment with one of our design staff.
